A true local gem! The food is delicious and the staff are friendly. I have always had fast service. The only thing I wish would change is that they stop serving breakfast items at 3pm which for us night shift workers can be tough. Don't be put off by the fact that you have to pay first for your meals. It's well worth it.
Had "Grand Breakfast" 3 eggs, 2 sides (choice of bacon, sausage, ham or bologna) hash browns & coffee. All for 13 good value. Good food great service! Definitely recommend
Breakfast is awesome here. Tried the Chilli Cheese Poutine last night. It was good but I believe a regular poutine with curds would have been the better choice, because their fries are great. A classic diner. Overall good food, good service, and good atmosphere.
I have been coming here since I was a child, now I am 50 years old and it is still the best place to go for excellent food. Definitely a stop for the history. I believe this restaurant has been in operation for 80 years. It is a North Bay food landmark now. Ask about the history if you stop by, it is interesting to those who appreciate businesses that thrive through history.
Our first time here and we loved the food. My Philly steak sandwich and poutine was awesome, my son’s burger was good and my husband Montreal smoked meat sandwich was also good. I tried all of them and the steak won. Ice cream was great and their service was phenomenal even though it was crazy busy. My son order a chocolate cream and noticed they had sprinkles after we have already paid and the guy at the counter was nice to put it on even though I said to my son “too late”. Keep up the good work guys!
We Usually Just Order The Family Size Poutine And Share Between All Of Us....I Usually Grab A Milkshake While I'm Grabbing It....But Today We Sat Down And Ordered In...I Got The Mushroom Soup And Clubhouse And My Hubby Got A Steak Poutine....We Are Glad That We Stopped In And Sat Down. Classic diner that is always a go to when Im visiting North Bay. My favourite is the breakfast poutine which is very filling and absolutely delicious. Everything on their menu looks great though and the coffee served here is excellent.
